Gui Zhi Fu Ling Wan translates as Cinnamon Twig and Poria Pill was originally formulated by Zhang Zhongjing, the most renowned Chinese physician, over 2000 years ago for treating pregnancy complications, such as obstructed blood flow in the womb. This obstruction causes the blood to circulate abnormally, and results in mild spotting during pregnancy. With modern obstetrics, this formula is customarily used today for menstrual disorders.
